Articles & guides

Everything published on this site outside the catalogue: factory comparisons built from public buyer evidence, the movement map generated from our own product record, and the QC process — including how to read QC photos for yourself.

How these pages are written

Three rules, applied to every page in this section:

  1. Sources are named. Where a claim comes from a buyer thread or a dealer post, the page says so, and says so again when the source has a commercial interest in the answer.
  2. Our own numbers come from our own record. Counts, movements and price ranges are generated from the same data the listings use, so they move when the catalogue moves rather than being typed in once.
  3. No verdict we cannot support. No reliability ranking, no specification we have not measured, no declared winner between watches we do not both sell.

The result is a quieter section than the ones that promise a definitive "best" — and everything in it is checkable against the listing you are looking at.

Where to start. If you are choosing a reference, the movement map and the factory comparisons are the two pages buyers read first. If you have already ordered, the QC process is the one that matters — it is what stands between the factory and your wrist.

Questions about these guides

Straight answers, no filler.

What do you publish here?

Four guides so far: two factory comparisons written from public buyer threads with the sources named, a movement map generated from our own catalogue, and the QC process including how to read QC photos. They exist because we had something verifiable to say about each of them, not because a content calendar asked for a post.

Do you publish sponsored or paid reviews?

No. Nothing on this site is written for payment, and no factory pays to appear in a comparison. Since we sell one factory line, every comparison page states that plainly rather than pretending to be neutral.

Why are there no "best replica" rankings?

Because a ranking is a measurement claim, and we have not measured the other lines on a bench. We publish what we can check — the factory line, reference and movement per listing, and the price on the page — and we leave the number-free verdicts to the sites that are comfortable making them.

Can I ask for a topic to be covered?

Yes — ask in the chat. If it is a question about the watch you are buying we will answer it directly; if it is a topic we can research honestly, it may end up as a guide. What we will not do is write a page that repeats somebody else's measurements as if they were ours.
