Buying USDT with a card

If you already have an exchange account

That is the fastest route: buy USDT there and withdraw it on-chain. An account that is already verified needs no new identity checks. See Payment methods for the full steps. This page is for everyone else, or for anyone who would rather pay with a card.

Step by step

1. Open an on-ramp. MoonPay and Transak both sell USDT with a card or Apple Pay, and both let you enter the destination address at checkout. Use one that lists USDT on TRON (TRC-20); if you are in Europe, USDC on Ethereum (ERC-20).
2. Enter the address we gave you. Copy it from your order thread — do not retype it by hand. The address we use for USDT starts with T and has 34 characters; it is not a Bitcoin address.
3. Buy the amount on your order. Their fee is charged on top of the amount you send us, so do not deduct it. A first purchase also checks your identity (photo ID and a few personal details), which takes a few minutes.
4. Send, then tell us. The coin lands on the network in minutes. Reply in your order thread with the transaction hash (TXID) so we can match it, and we confirm.

Four things that trip people up

• Network. USDT only on TRON (TRC-20); USDC only on Ethereum (ERC-20). On the wrong network it cannot be recovered.
• Memo / tag. If a field asks for a memo, tag or note, leave it empty. TRON addresses do not use one.
• Amount. Send exactly the figure on your order. If you send less, the order stays unpaid.
• Availability. These on-ramps are not available in every country. If yours is not covered, or TRC-20 is not offered, or it caps the purchase below your total, stop and tell us before you send anything.

Do I need to own crypto to order?
No. Buy USDT with a card or Apple Pay at an on-ramp such as MoonPay or Transak, then send it on the TRON (TRC-20) network to the address in your order thread.

Which network do I send on?
USDT goes on the TRON (TRC-20) network. European customers are set up for USDC on ERC-20 (Ethereum) instead. Sending on the wrong network cannot be recovered.
